Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father was an elementary school teacher, while her mother was an at-home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick is always a fan of performing, dancing and creating show puppets. When McCormick was six years young, she took home her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency called and asked her whether she'd be interested in entering show business. McCormick's first big job was during 1964, which was when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in the firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon cast in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children who auditioned for the role of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had the same family as a blended one. The show ran for five seasons. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. At the time, she was 16 and he was 19. The incident would have happened according to her. But, the time for our marriage was not right.
